Lara Sif Hrafnkelsdóttir is a private markets executive, investor, and board advisor with over 20 years of Wall Street and international experience across private credit, private equity, structured finance, investment governance, and portfolio company leadership.
She spent more than two decades in New York, including senior roles at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and as a Partner at Laurus / Valens Funds, where she played a leadership role in launching, scaling, and managing SEC-registered private equity and private credit funds, as well as a family office platform.
As Founder & Managing Partner of Vikingur Advisory (ADGM), Lara operates across the GCC, MENA, North America, and Europe, working with private funds, family offices, corporate boards, sovereign entities, government-related organizations, and growth companies. Her work focuses on capital formation, investment governance, strategic growth, value creation, and cross-border stakeholder engagement, at the intersection of private markets, entrepreneurship, innovation, knowledge economies, and national development.
Lara serves on the Board and Executive Committee of the Harvard Business School Club of the GCC and on the Strategic Council of Capital Club DIFC. She is also a Patron Member of the Harvard Business School Club of New York and a Luminary Member of the Harvard Business School Women's Association.
An alumna of Harvard Business School, NYU Stern School of Business, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and the University of Iceland, Lara is active across investment, business, government, academic, and entrepreneurial communities, helping connect capital, expertise, partnerships, and opportunities across regions and sectors.
